Well, time to turn a new leaf. The new digimon is coming, as is my new character, Iori! Well, he's not mine, I mean he's mine in a sense that I write for him as well as Jyou. And of course, those who know me well know that I write yaoi, duh. Anyhow, I am honoured to feature Lyssie-chan's RP character Hideo in this fic. Hideo belongs to her, unless Iori decides to complain about that. =^-~=
Hida Iori was sitting in the park, against a tree, under the shade, protecting him from the warm sun of the nice spring day.
It was relaxing, with the sakura blossom petals in the breeze, a pleasant scent was in the air. The perfect day for a picnic with friends.
Friends.
Friends which had left him behind.
Iori sighed. He was trying to read a book about advanced kendo technique, however, the bright sunny day was constantly reminding him of how his friends had gone on a picnic in the digital world, and had forgotten him.
Iori shook his head. 'I shouldn't be so childish, it was an honest mistake..' However, looking at other happy children with friends, food....he sighed again. Here he was, alone with his book. Alone...
He hated being alone, although everyone seemed to think he enjoyed it since he was constantly left alone. 'These people are my friends, they're supposed to be my friends..'
'They sure do act differently at times, though..'
Iori returned to his book, trying his best to beat the sunny, bright day and the happiness of other children out of his mind.
Mishima Hideo was skating on his wheels, going through town. Hop over the bench, do a little twirl. Impress his fans.
However, it was Saturday, a day to continue his never-ending quest..
To get a date. He *had* to get a date. It was Saturday! The sun, the flowers, and the millions of cute boys and girls ready to date. Then there was Yama-sama, he could always find Yama-sama. No wait, today had been the day for that digi-destined picnic. He apparently had proven not to be worthy of that, however.
Or Taichi had simply "forgotten" to invite him, which he doubted. 'Dammit, he hogs Yama-sama all to himself..' Hideo thought irritably, enjoying the thrill of being on his skateboard. Well, at least Taichi couldn't hog that away. Nobody could hog that away, his precious skateboard.
At any rate, a date (or the attempt to get one) was definately in order today, and the best place to go to look for the fellow lonely-hearted..
Was the city park.
Iori sighed. This was pointless. Staying out in the park was just making him feel more lonely by the minute. 'It's not like they're going to come back for me...'
Getting up from the relaxing spot beneath the tree, Iori was prepared to walk home alone. Letting out another sad sigh, he started to head towards the park exit/entrance.
Hideo barely avoided running into some kid on his way into the park, and while he kept going, he turned his head around to at first to curse at the kid who had nearly knocked him off of his skateboard.
Only to lock eyes with the cutest little angel he had ever seen.
Hideo's cheeks turned a light shade of pink as he continued to stare at the other boy, up until the point the other cried out in alarm. "Hey, look out!"
Hideo, haven forgotten that he was still on a moving skateboard, had also forgotten the possibility of running into something hard. Namely, a tree.
"ACCK!!" Hideo cried out, running face first into a tree. He was knocked off his skateboard and fell back on the pavement.
Iori, feeling concerned, ran over to the skateboard and it's owner, kneeling next to him. "Oi, you ok?" Iori kneeled over him, shaking one shoulder gently.
"Aaaahh...." the other boy was making swirly eyes, his face red from the mark made by the impact with the tree.
Iori reached behind his head to feel for a bump, or anything requiring serious attention. 'He feels fine...' Iori took a moment to stroke the soft grey hair of the other. 'He'll be alright. But I should get him off the pavement..'
Reaching two hands under the arms of the other, he dragged him off the pavement and onto to the cool grass.....
Ah. Dreams. Flying. Skateboarding. Dates. Actually getting a date..
Cute little angel..
Hideo winced once and opened his eyes slowly. He could see the perfect, clear blue sky stretching far above him. Didn't angels live in the sky, far above in heaven?
Why was he thinking about angels, anyway?
"Oi, awake?" a gentle, quiet voice asked him. Turning his head to meet the voice, Hideo realized why he had been thinking about angels.
Stretching and sitting up slowly, Hideo was trying his best to hide his
pink cheeks. "Hai, I'm awake.."
"Do you have a headache or anything? Are you hurt? I would of went
for help, however you seemed to be alright, and I didn't think it would be
proper to leave you alone.." the boy mused over him, making a fuss.
'Who wouldn't be fine, waking up to a cutie like you?' Hideo thought
happily.
"It's ok! I'm alright, thanks.." he chirped.
"I'm glad.." the other said softly. He had a book in his hands, and
returned his gaze to it..sadly..
'Aww..' "Ne, thanks for caring."
The other boy shook his head and looked up. "Pardon?"
"I said 'thanks for caring' " Hideo replied, grinning.
"Oh...no problem.." the boy was blushing.
'Hee hee..' "I'm Mishima Hideo!" Hideo chirped, offering his hand to
the other.
The other boy seemed taken off guard from the gesture. He looked the
offered hand over before grasping it with his own. "Hida Iori."
'Cute name for a really cute face..' "Nice to meet ya." Hideo grinned.
'His hand is so warm...' Iori thought, blushing slightly. Strange
thoughts.
Hideo sat against the tree comfortably. Not the same tree he had hit,
of course, just the one Iori had pulled him over to. Iori..what a cute
name!
"Ne, what're doing here all by yourself?" 'Waiting just for me?'
Iori sighed and held up his book for Hideo to see. "Well my friends
went on a picnic..." he flipped a page in the book. "And left me behind, so I came
here to read.."
"That sucks. Some friends you got.." Hideo grumbled. 'Well, I can
dream..Hey wait a minute does that make him a digidestined? They went
on a picnic today..ahh who cares..'
Iori only nodded in response, continuing to read. He was glad to have
Hideo there, even though they weren't really talking, having someone there
with him didn't make him feel so lonely..
Hideo's eyes ran over his skateboard, inspecting it for damage.
Finding none, he got an idea. "Oi, who needs them? We can have a great time
all by ourselves!"
"We?" Iori raised an eyebrow.
"Yes, we." Hideo grinned and grabbed his arm. "Ever been
skateboarding?"
How had he wound up on Hideo's skateboard, again?
Oh yes. Agreeing to give it a try. Idiot.
How did one keep their balance on this thing anyhow?
Iori held his arms out for balance, trying to keep his footing on the
board, and trying not to jostle it too much.
"You just need to relax! It's not like you're going to fall.." Hideo
encouraged him, looking him up and down on his skateboard. 'If you do
I'll be more than happy to catch you..'
"I've never been skateboarding.." Iori whined, starting to regret his agreement to trying out the skateboard
"Well, there's a first for everything, right?" Hideo grinned. "Just relax.."
"....." Iori's silence was a clear reflection of his feeling of
nervousness right now. He *really* did not enjoy the idea of falling flat on his
face on the pavement. or into a tree like Hideo. He stretched his arms out further
in hopes to keep his balance.
"Here, I'll hold you, ok?" Hideo took a step closer to him and placed
his hands firmly on Iori's hips. "There, alright? Relax, it's just a skateboard.."
Iori's cheeks instantly flared at the touch. 'Why am I blushing..? He's just holding me up..'
Hideo smiled up at Iori. '"You know, you blush a lot..."
Iori's cheeks turned redder.
"But's that ok, you look really cute when you do.."
Iori's cheeks were redder than tomatoes and blush at the moment. 'He's
just..holding me up....'
"Cmon, let's go out to the sidewalk, ok..?" Hideo guided Iori out to the sidewalk on the skateboard, the blush never leaving Iori's cheeks, and the awareness of the placement of Hideo's hands never left both their minds.
On the sidewalk, Hideo continued to walk Iori along. "Ok, now, use
your foot to push the board forward to get speed, ok?"
"How?" Iori asked, not really wanting Hideo to let go of him.
"You know, brush it along the ground. Then keep your arms out to keep
your balance, and use your feet to turn the board side to side." Hideo demonstrated with his own feet. "Like so. Got it?"
"I guess so..." Iori said softly, trying to move his feet on the board
without dying of a heart attack.
"I'll keep pace with you, don't worry." Hideo smiled again. A nice
smile, too..
Iori shook himself briefly. Why was he thinking like this, anyway? At
any rate, he did as he was told, started to push his foot against the ground to move the board forward..
"That's it.."
Iori kept it up until the board gained some speed.
"You got it!" Hideo cheered him on.
Iori kept pushing his foot against the ground, gaining more and more speed,
letting his arms out to keep his balance. More speed, faster faster..
Until Hida Iori on a skateboard started to fly down the street, literally.
"WAAH!"
"Damn!" Hideo cursed, realizing that Iori was going much too fast for a beginner. "At this rate, he'll crash into something.." Hideo broke into a run after the runaway skateboard.
Iori was flailing his arms. "AAHH!! OH NOO!!!" he cried, really scared
of running into something.
"Hang on, Iori!" Hideo called out to him, speeding after him, trying to
catch up in time..
Who would of thought, that an innocent rock in the wrong place at the wrong time..
The skateboard instantly rammed into a rock, causing the skateboard to
flip backwards, throwing Iori off with a jerk.
...could cause so much trouble..
"Iori!" Hideo ran to catch him in his arms. However, he was too late, and would have to settle for Iori's crash landing. As Hideo was running towards him, Iori intercepted with Hideo, and they both fell back. Hideo, as though it were instinct, brought his arms up around Iori to protect him from too hard of a fall.
For a moment, the two remained like that, stunned. For a moment, the two forgot everything, as Iori realized suddenly that he liked being in Hideo's arms and Hideo realized that he liked having Iori there..
The crash of the skateboard against the pavement a few feet ahead caused the two to sit up.
"Ne, Iori, you alright?" Hideo asked, not removing his arms just yet.
"Hai, I'm fine...are you ok..?" Iori asked, turning his head to look in
Hideo's eyes. Bright, pretty yellow eyes...
"Hai.." Hideo said softly, his eyes were soft and caring. 'Oi oi, who wouldn't be happy in a spot like this?'
It took Iori a minute to realize how they were sitting there. Hideo had his
arms around him and he was sitting in Hideo's lap..Iori instantly blushed with the realization and scrambled to get up. "Uh, sorry!"
"That's ok.." Hideo said softly, with disappointment. Wait, why would
he be disappointed?
"Sorry I couldn't ride the board.." Iori said, guilt in his eyes, as he
walked over to pick up the skateboard and return it to Hideo.
"Don't worry about it, you should of seen how many times *I* crashed on
it before I got the hang of it.." Hideo laughed, remembering good old days with good old bruises.
"Ah ok.." Iori looked down to the ground, not wanting to look
Hideo in the eye with his flushed cheeks.
That was when the sound of the truck which came straight from heaven
arrived.
"ICE CREAMM!!!" a stampede of children speeded out of the nearby park to
attack the truck.
Iori perked up at that. He *did* have some money..."Hideo?"
"Hai?"
"Want to go get some ice cream?"
A broad smile broke across those lips, causing a smile in return.
"Absolutely!"
"So which flavour do you want?" Iori asked brightly. At least he could
make up for the board..
"Chocolate Chip dough!" Hideo was almost drooling at the thought of an
ice cream cone.
Iori smiled at the expression on his face. 'He looks cute like that..'
Iori then silently kicked himself. 'Baka, don't think like that..it's not
like he'd be interested...'
At this point the author would like to make a comment: "...RIGHT." Anyhow..
After an eternity of waiting for other children to finish their orders,
the pair finally reached the counter of the truck.
"What can I get'cha, boys?" the icec ream man smiled genuinely.
"Chocolate chip dough, please!" Hideo chirped, leaning up towards the
counter, eagerly awaiting his cone.
"Coming right up!" The ice cream disappeared for a moment, while Hideo
seemed ready to drool a pool full.
Iori looked the other over. 'I can't explain it..its just..this strange feeling..' Iori's cheeks turned pink, reflecting the warmth he felt in his..heart..?
"Here ya go!" the icecream man handed the cone over to the greedy hands
of Hideo, who looked ready to devour the cone in a single bite.
"How much..?" Iori asked, pulling out some change from his pocket.
"Two dollars."
"For one cone?" Iori demanded, looking up.
"For chocolate chip dough, yeah.." the ice cream man raised an eyebrow.
"What, can't you pay..?"
"No, no I can pay.." Iori handed over his two dollars. His only two
dollars.
"What're you waiting for, Iori? Get one!" Hideo licked happily at his
cone.
"I only had two dollars.." Iori said wistfully. Well, at least Hideo
was happy with his cone.
Hideo pouted for a minute then smiled again. "Well that's alright.
We'll just share!"
Iori's cheeks turned deep pink. "Ano...it's ok, you can have the
cone.."
"I insist." Hideo said, poking the cone towards Iori's face, forcing
him to take a lick.
"See, not so bad is it?" Hideo smiled, passing the cone back and forth
between him and Iori, heading towards the park again.
After the cone was finished, the two boys were leaning against a tree, reflecting on how nice the day had been.
How nice it had been being together.
However, neither of the boys voiced these reflections, wanting to not spoil the perfection of just sitting there together. Strange feelings..
Hideo sighed. 'This is so close to being a date..' Hideo thought happily. He glanced over at Iori, his cute little angel. 'Even if it wasn't, though, I think I'd be just as happy..' Hideo glanced towards the sky, his cheeks flushed. 'I've never felt this way before...not even about Yama-sama...'
Hideo's eyes returned to Iori, who was staring up at the sky as well, his fingers idly taping the book in his lap. 'He looks so cute..' Hideo had to resist the urge to pull Iori into his arms and kiss him. Kiss him..
Well, he was not about to resist for much longer. "Iori?"
"Hai?" Iori blinked and focused his gaze on Hideo, as though he had
been deep in thought.
"Can I ask you something..?"
"..Sure..." Iori raised his eyebrows. Hideo had a rather..pleasant
expression on his face..
"Have you never been kissed..?"
"Nani?!" Iori jumped, his cheeks turning deep red.
"Gomen...you don't have to tell me..I didn't mean to upset you.." Hideo
replied sadly, looking away.
"...No..." Iori replied softly, not looking Hideo in the eyes, his
cheeks flushing.
"Really?" Hideo asked hopefully.
"Hai.." Iori said almost sadly, bowing his head, as though he were
ashamed.
"Good.." Hideo said so softly, that if Iori hadn't been close he
wouldn't of heard. He reached out a hand to gently hold Iori's chin, pulling his
face towards him. "Because neither have I..." Hideo closed his eyes...
And pressed his lips to Iori's.
A kiss.
His first kiss.
Iori, at first, sat there with his eyes wide open..before he relaxed, closed them, and returned the kiss...
The end
